The first year of this unique professional conference, organised by the Czechoslovak Modular Construction Association (csMODULAR), will focus on the issue of modular construction (MC) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
more about eventModular construction (MC) is a modern building construction method which is not only effective, but also highly efficient, fast and sustainable. The main advantages of MC include speed, cost reduction, sustainability and safety. Although this type of construction is an ideal and practical solution for much more than social housing or schools, there is still virtually no legislative support or standards to regulate MC in the Czech Republic.
The aim of the first conference is to familiarise the audience with the current situation, outlook for the future, legislative support from the state and the procedure for creating and adopting standards.
The aim of the Modular World 2019 conference is:
# to identify and clearly present the topics of modular construction
# to focus on legislative support for modular construction in CZ
# to guide the audience through the trends, technologies and techniques related to the issue
# to present success stories
# to familiarise the audience with the basic principles and rules
The conference will offer clear and useful information from experienced experts and practitioners in the area of modular construction, including practical examples. It also serves as a platform for the active exchange of information and networking.
The organiser of the conference is Československá asociace modulární výstavby, z. s. (csMODULAR), established in 2019 as an association directed towards popularising and promoting modular construction in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The mission of csMODULAR is to create conditions for its members which will allow them to create a suitable environment for cooperation. The association’s aim is to promote measures which will have a positive impact for the sector of modular construction in the future (legislation, regulations, standards).
